There is to much advertisements and promotions for the slender look that seems to attract a wider audience. The problem here is that it leaves out those that are not so fortunate. I work out at Bally's when I can, and many women and men are pushing themselves to look like what they are told is the ultimate size, shape, and weight for them to achieve for all occasions. One thing that we must realize is that we cannot change genetics. Working out is good, but if you are big boned; and have extra pounds, you may not be able to change yourself to a Victoria Secret model. This is the sort of thing that we all have to cope with. Unless you want to basically live in a weight room and train from 4 to 6 hours a day, I think that we all have to realize that there are limits with what we can and cannot do. I'm not saying don't work out; all I'm saying is that you must know your limits, and realize that there are certain aspects of your body that you must live with, we all must live with.

At the turn of the twentieth century, women would wear corsets in order to look thinner, and try to hide certain aspects of their bodies. This was stylish at the time; proved to be disastrous for the woman's health, as well as not being very comfortable. Never try to fit into something that your body cannot handle. You have to accept who you are, and that there are things that you cannot change.
